Welcome to Wallet Fit. We are committed to protecting your personal data and your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store, and protect your information when you interact with our credit card reward recommendation engine and synchronization services at walletfit.app.
2. Data Collection & Plaid Integration
Wallet Fit uses Plaid Technologies, Inc. ("Plaid") as our secure bank connectivity partner. By linking your financial accounts, credit cards, or bank credentials within the app, you grant Wallet Fit and Plaid the right, power, and authority to act on your behalf to securely retrieve and transmit your financial data.
We retrieve and normalize the following categories of information:
- Account Details: Credit card names, networks (Visa, Mastercard, AMEX), credit limits, and current balances.
- Transaction Details: Historic transaction descriptions, dates, amounts, categories, and merchant names. We pull this data to accurately calculate your rewards.
Crucially: Wallet Fit does not see, access, or store your bank username, password, or security questions. All credential verification is handled directly and securely within Plaid's SOC2-compliant system.
3. Data Storage & Security Standards
All data retrieved is encrypted in transit using Transport Layer Security (TLS) and at rest using modern Advanced Encryption Standard (AES-256). Your personalized expense patterns, settings, and card choices are stored in a fully secured, enterprise-grade, SOC2 Type II compliant database managed by Supabase.
4. Data Ownership & Retention
You have full sovereignty over your data. We retain your transaction averages and wallet settings only for as long as your account is active. You can delete your account or disconnect your bank at any time:
- Clicking "Disconnect Bank" in your settings revokes Plaid's token and securely wipes your imported transaction history.
- Clicking "Delete Account" terminates your Stripe subscription and permanently hard-deletes all associated transaction metrics, profile attributes, and identity records from our database within minutes.

We may update our Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy on this page and updating the "Last Updated" date above.
